Scope of Work <br /> Preparation of Plans,Specifications and Estimates <br /> Sunol Boulevard/I-680 Improvements Project <br /> August 21,2023 <br /> • Private and public utility information <br /> • Sign inventory from Caltrans and the City <br /> • Right-of-way information <br /> • Pertinent historical correspondence <br /> • Pavement Condition Report <br /> • Traffic Accident Data, if needed <br /> • Traffic Signal and Controller Data <br /> • Traffic flow diagrams for the design year showing AM, PM, and ADT volumes <br /> Task 2.2 Mapping <br /> AECOM will provide Mobile Terrestrial Laser Scanning (MTLS) methods to collect the <br /> road features, utilizing conventional methods in MTLS-occluded areas. The survey is <br /> necessary to confirm mapping accuracy, topographic surveys necessary to complete the <br /> design, including cross sections, verifying existing utilities and drainage facilities, <br /> pavement elevations and locations, pavement conforms, vertical clearances, obstructions, <br /> tree survey locations, lighting fixtures, fences, retaining walls, creeks, drainage swales <br /> and ditches and other features necessary to complete the design. Also to locate features <br /> such as curbs, walks, edge of traveled way and other critical existing features. This task <br /> includes AECOM obtaining permits from Caltrans, CITY and others for surveying and <br /> exploratory works as necessary. <br /> 2.2.1 Survey Scope and Approach <br /> The primary surveying tasks for this interchange improvement project include Ground <br /> Control Surveys, Mobile Terrestrial Laser Scanning (MTLS) Survey Tasks, <br /> Supplemental and MTLS GCP Survey Control Reports(SCR), Right of Way Engineering <br /> Tasks, Supplemental Topographic Design Surveys, and a Quality Level B (QL-B) <br /> Underground Utility Survey. <br /> Horizontal and vertical datums will be the same datums as utilized for the Project <br /> Approval/Environmental Document(PA&ED)phase of this project, the North American <br /> Datum of 1983 (NAD83) California Coordinate System Zone 3 (CCSZ3) Epoch 2014.55 <br /> and the North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (NAVD88), respectively. Caltrans (CT) <br /> standards contained within Chapters 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9, of the Caltrans Survey Manual <br /> will be followed. The MTLS subconsultant will follow standards contained within the <br /> CT Mobile Terrestrial Laser Scanning (MTLS) Guidelines dated July 27, 2018. <br /> Positional accuracy standards for all surveys will conform to the requirements, <br /> specifications, and results of a CT Order 2cm Local Accuracy survey. Mapping products <br /> will be provided in Microstation DGN format using CT mapping standards. A CT <br /> Encroachment Permit will be obtained for work within the ROW and all permit <br /> stipulations will be followed. <br /> Page 10 of 42 <br />
