Conclusion and Next Steps
The City is taking proactive steps, including those outlined in this report and
presentation, to ensure the City workforce is well-prepared and trained in their role as
Disaster Service Workers, and the public is informed of steps to prepare for
emergencies. A longer-term strategy for identifying funding and planning for a new
dedicated EOC with equipment, space, electronics, and other requirements is being
proposed for consideration as part of the citywide strategic plan that will be considered
for adoption by the City Council in October. Finally, the City intends to update the EOP
in 2024. That document was last updated in 2018.
Submitted by: Approved by:
Tracy Hein Gerry Beaudin
Emergency Preparedness City Manager
Manager, LPFD
Attachments:
1.
