Of note, DSRSD has a considerably lower local rate <br /> compared to Livermore and Pleasanton. Staff reviewed this issue and found that the <br /> City's staffing levels and electrical costs are higher than DSRSD's due to pumping <br /> charges associated with pumping sewer to the DSRSD plant located on Stoneridge <br /> Drive adjacent to 1-680, as compared to DSRSD's gravity flow system that has very <br /> little, if any, pumping costs. <br /> [Table 6 on following page] <br /> Page 14 of 17 <br />
