<br />2023-2031 Housing Element City of Pleasanton | 54 <br /> <br />Policy 5.4 <br />Provide opportunities, including appropriately zoned sites, to accommodate housing that can <br />assist with individuals’ transitions from homelessness, including Single Room Occupancy units <br />(SROs), emergency shelter and transitional housing for unhoused residents. <br /> <br />Policy 5.5 <br />Support development and maintenance of affordable senior housing and supportive services to <br />facilitate maximum independence and the ability of seniors to remain in their homes and/or the <br />community. <br /> <br />Policy 5.6 <br />Encourage the development of residential units that are accessible to persons with disabilities or <br />are adaptable for conversion to residential use by persons with disabilities. <br /> <br />Programs <br />Program 5.1 <br />Support implementation of applicable recommendations of the 2021 Alameda County “Home <br />Together 2026 Implementation Plan” and pursue development and adoption of a local or <br />subregional (Tri-Valley) homeless strategic framework to complement the Countywide effort, that <br />would incorporate strategies and programs tailored towards the specific needs of Pleasanton’s <br />unhoused residents. To initiate this effort, convene one or more stakeholder meetings to evaluate <br />trends, needs, resources and strategies that could be included in a future framework document. <br /> Responsible Agency: Planning Division, Housing Division <br /> Time Period: Convene stakeholder meeting by September 2024; adopt local or Tri-Valley <br />Framework or equivalent strategic plan by December 2025 <br /> Funding Source: Planning Division Budget, Housing Division Budget <br /> Quantified Objective: Reduce unhoused persons as counted in the bi-annual Point-in- <br />Time (PIT) count for the 2026 and subsequent PIT counts during the planning period (2028 <br />and 2030) <br />
