This project will construct 2 traffic signal on Sunol <br />Boulevard, reconstruct the westbound to southbound loop <br />ramp including the bridge section and extend the freeway <br />merge section by 1000 feet to allow for smoother <br />transition onto the freeway mainline. <br />Applicant: City of Pleasanton <br />Staff Contact(s): Mike Tassano <br />36.Intersections of <br />Stanley/Valley/Bernal, <br />Santa Rita/Valley, Santa <br />Rita/Stoneridge <br />Transportation/Traffic Project <br /> World Smartest Intersection <br />Installation of next generation traffic signal equipment for signal performance, conflict <br />analysis, origin-destination studies, multi-modal traffic safety, and connected vehicle <br />applications. <br />Status Under Review <br />Next Steps/Details:Project delayed while the Miovision Automated Traffic <br />Signal Performance Measure Project is under <br />construction. The Miovision Equipment funded by the <br />MTC IDEA grant has been installed and is operational. <br />The MTC conducted an evaluation of the system (a <br />requirement of the grant) and is preparing a report for <br />Pleasanton's use. <br />Applicant: City of Pleasanton <br />Staff Contact(s): Mike Tassano <br />37. Valley Ave at Northway Rd <br />Traffic Signal Installation <br />Transportation/Traffic Project <br />This project will install a new traffic signal at the intersection of Valley Ave and <br />Northway Rd, next to Harvest Park Middle School. Curb extensions will be added to the <br />southeast and southwest corners to reduce crosswalk lengths. This location is the next <br />intersection in the signal priority list. The overall work will improve pedestrian/bicycle <br />safety and improve traffic operations. <br />Status Under Review <br />Next Steps/Details:Currently, the project is approximately 65% design and an <br />application was submitted to PG&E for electrical service. <br />PG&E has completed their field work and proceeding to <br />identify the nearest power source for the intersection.
