Christina Casha
From: Ellen Holmgren
Sent: Monday, June 5, 2023 1:20 PM
To: Sharon McKee
Subject: RE: Budget
Dear Sharon McKee,
Thank you for your email to the Mayor and City Council. This email acknowledges receipt of your message.
If this comment relates to an item on the current City Council agenda and you would like to submit written public
comment, please visit https://forms.cityofpleasantonca.gov/f/writtenpubliccomment.
Thank you for your interest in the City of Pleasanton.
Regards,
Ellen Holmgren,Administrative Assistant
City of Pleasanton
-----Original Message-----
From: Sharon McKef
Sent: Friday,June 2, 2023 7:35 PM
To: Mayor and City Council<citycouncil@cityofpleasantonca.gov>
'Subject: Budget
*** [EXTERNAL]This message comes from an external organization. Exercise caution when opening attachments or
clicking links, especially from unknown senders. ***
City Council Members:
I am appealing to you to do the right thing regarding the water issue in Pleasanton !!!
This summer we could be (and probably have already been) drinking water contaminated with PFAS levels hugely above
what is safe.We have elected you and entrusted you to do what is best for the citizens of his city. This issue should be
the priority on your agenda-not to wait and see what goes in September. Action needs to take place NOW.
Next of importance is to insure we are safe by voting for a budget that includes funds to retain and entice new police
officers.
These two issues should stand above and beyond any funds are spent to improve Century House and to build a new
skatepark. I agree both of these measures are very important : our youth need outlets for their energy and it would be
wonderful to improve the Century House. However neither of these issues will keep our community safe and healthy .
You cannot disagree with that, unless you are entirely uncaring of your fellow men and women.
Lastly-there needs to be respect among all of the City Council for each other. So much energy is spent on name calling
and shunning of one member. You need to rise above in order to gain the respect you have lost among so many
,members of this community.
Hopefully this email does not just get deleted because you are not in agreement. This is the only way a citizen can voice
their feelings and provide input to you .
1
