Exercise caution when opening attachments or
clicking links, especially from unknown senders. ***
Dear Mayor Brown and City Council members,
As a long time Pleasanton resident for the first time I'm find the behavior of this Council to be questionable in regards to
how our budget money is being calculated and spent.
Setting a budget based on not filling open positions! What kind of logic is being used for this? I guess better to not fill
the open police and firefighter positions. Is that the thought because it sure appears that way?
We have a serious issue facing us with our water supply and yet this council is proceeding with spending$6 million on a
skate park expansion and $4.6 million on the Century House. When water is critical, how can this be justified by any of
the Council members is beyond me. I don't think that most residents have any idea what is happening.
You all know that I am a fierce critic when I see poor decisions being made. I am also a great supporter when good
decisions are made. This is one of those times that I must be a fierce critic. I will do everything I can to ensure that my
fellow Pleasanton residents are aware of the decisions being made by this council. I strongly encourage you to think
about our future, and that requires water now, not a skate park first.
Respectfully,
Vicki LaBarge
1
