SECTION I (Continued) <br /> -- rC) Receiving or accepting, directly or indirectly, any gift or favor from <br /> anyone doing business with the City of Pleasanton under circumstances <br /> from which it could reasonably be inferred that such was intended to <br /> influence him/her in his/her official employment or duties, or as a reward <br /> for official action. <br /> fl Engaging ing in or accepting private employment or rendering services for <br /> private interests that may inhibit the proper discharge of his/her official <br /> employment or duties. <br /> 2. Elected and appointed officials shall comply with the Ralph M. Brown Act ("the <br /> Brown Act") and all applicable open meeting laws. <br /> 3. Every elected official, officer, appointee, consultant, or contract personnel of the <br /> City of Pleasanton shall disclose completely the nature and extent of any interest, <br /> direct or indirect, which conflicts with his/her responsibility or duty. <br /> 4. The City Council and the City Attorney shall administer this Code of Ethics for <br /> all elected and appointed officials. <br /> B. Television Appearances During an Election Year <br /> �► 1. During September and October in an election year, the City Council shall not <br /> schedule a call-in talk show. <br /> 2. If the incumbent Mayor is a candidate for re-election, the Mayor shall not <br /> participate in the "Mayors' Report" during September and October of an election <br /> year; in the Mayor's stead, City Councilmembers who are not candidates for re- I <br /> election shall participate in the Mayors' Report on a rotational basis. <br /> II. MEETINGS AND PROCEDURAL POLICIES <br /> A. Authority <br /> As provided by Government Code Section 36813, the City Council of Pleasanton <br /> establishes these Policies of Procedure for the conduct of meetings. The following <br /> policies shall be in effect upon their adoption by the City Council and until such time as <br /> they are amended or new policies'adopted in the manner provided by these policies. <br /> B.
