roof edge, installing pipe insulation and the insulating jacket for the sample water line at the Foothill tank reservoir, modifying the vault hatch drain for improved drainage, installing a modular ramp for chemical deliveries at the Sycamore tank, modifications to the main switchboard, and installing fencing improvements. The total cost for these changes was $42,355.83. Consultant Services Carollo Engineers, the project's design consultant, prepared the plans and specifications, provided construction support services to review shop drawings, responded to requests for information, and provided periodic inspections. Carollo Engineers also provided start-up support for the project, including operational monitoring of the systems to ensure performance. Under an existing on-call survey contract with the City, Ruggeri-Jensen-Azar provided property line staking for the installation of fencing along shared property lines. Budget Funding for this project totaled $2,030,645, including $108,913 for design billed under Bi-Annual Water Quality Evaluation, CIP No. 17100. Expenditures for design and construction total $1 ,775,060, leaving a balance of $255,584 (see Attachment 1) in the project fund. Staff recommends the project's remaining unused amount be returned to the Water Replacement fund balance (Fund 421). All the work has been completed to the satisfaction of the Director of Engineering. Staff recommends the City Council accept the work, authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion and authorize the release of the retention 30 days after recordation.
