roof edge, installing pipe insulation and the insulating jacket for the sample water <br /> line at the Foothill tank reservoir, modifying the vault hatch drain for improved <br /> drainage, installing a modular ramp for chemical deliveries at the Sycamore tank, <br /> modifications to the main switchboard, and installing fencing improvements. The <br /> total cost for these changes was $42,355.83. <br /> Consultant Services <br /> Carollo Engineers, the project's design consultant, prepared the plans and <br /> specifications, provided construction support services to review shop drawings, <br /> responded to requests for information, and provided periodic inspections. Carollo <br /> Engineers also provided start-up support for the project, including operational <br /> monitoring of the systems to ensure performance. <br /> Under an existing on-call survey contract with the City, Ruggeri-Jensen-Azar provided <br /> property line staking for the installation of fencing along shared property lines. <br /> Budget <br /> Funding for this project totaled $2,030,645, including $108,913 for design billed under <br /> Bi-Annual Water Quality Evaluation, CIP No. 17100. Expenditures for design and <br /> construction total $1 ,775,060, leaving a balance of $255,584 (see Attachment 1) in the <br /> project fund. Staff recommends the project's remaining unused amount be returned to <br /> the Water Replacement fund balance (Fund 421). <br /> All the work has been completed to the satisfaction of the Director of Engineering.
