For each racial group, the <br />spread of dots represents the range of that group’s representation among Bay Area jurisdictions. <br />Additionally, the black line within each racial group notes the percentage of the population of City of <br />Pleasanton represented by that group and how that percentage ranks among all 109 jurisdictions. Local <br />staff can use this chart to compare the representation of different racial groups in their jurisdiction to <br />those groups’ representation in other jurisdictions in the region, which can indicate the extent of <br />segregation between this jurisdiction and the region. <br /> <br />11 While comparisons of segregation measures are made only using the 104 jurisdictions with more than one census <br />tract, this comparison of jurisdiction level demographic data can be made using all 109 jurisdictions.
