<br />D-22 | City of Pleasanton Existing Programs Review <br />Table D-1: Existing Housing Element Programs Review <br />Program <br /># Program Objectives Responsible <br />Party Evaluation Modify / Delete / <br />Continue <br />Housing Discrimination <br />42.1 Support State and Federal provisions for <br />enforcing anti-discrimination laws. - City Attorney’s Office <br />The City Attorney’s Office <br />remains available to <br />support State and <br />Federal provisions for <br />enforcing anti- <br />discrimination laws, as <br />appropriate. <br />Continue/ Update: Clarify <br />language regarding what <br />support may be <br />appropriately provided by <br />the City Attorney’s Office. <br />42.2 <br />Publicize information on fair housing laws <br />and refer all complaints to the <br />US Department of Housing and Urban <br />Development, ECHO, and the California <br />Department of Fair Employment and <br />Housing. <br />- City Attorney’s Office <br />The City continues to <br />provide information and <br />other suggested <br />resources on fair housing <br />laws on the City’s <br />website and contracts <br />with ECHO Housing to <br />provide tenant/landlord <br />and fair housing <br />counseling and education <br />programs and other <br />services. <br />Modify: Expand to <br />include provision of <br />information in multiple <br />languages and accessible <br />formats. <br />Special-Needs Housing <br />43.1 <br />Continue to provide housing opportunities <br />for households with special needs such as <br />studio and one-bedroom apartments for <br />the elderly and single-person households, <br />three-bedroom apartments for large <br />households, specially designed units for <br />persons with disabilities, SROs, <br />emergency shelter and transitional <br />housing for the homeless, and units <br />affordable to extremely low-, low- and very <br />low-income households with single-parent <br />heads of households or those with <br />disabilities (including developmental <br />disabilities). The City will continue to make <br />available funding from sources such as the <br />City’s Lower-Income Housing Fund, and <br />- Housing Division, City <br />Council <br />The City’s Zoning <br />Ordinance addresses <br />supportive housing, <br />transitional housing, <br />emergency shelters, and <br />reasonable <br />accommodations; <br />however, amendments <br />are required to comply <br />with current state law. <br />During the planning <br />period, the City has <br />provided funding to <br />support these housing <br />types, specifically <br />Kottinger Gardens (185 <br />Modify: Revise to amend <br />the Zoning Ordinance to <br />reflect current state law <br />(e.g., AB 101 for Low <br />Barrier Navigation <br />Centers, AB 2162 for <br />supportive housing, etc.) <br />and requirements for <br />SROs.
