Launched from a 40mm platform, the <br /> munitions travel at a velocity of 240-260 ft./sec and weigh 105 grams. <br /> Purpose/Authorized Uses: It is intended to be used as a less-than-lethal option similar to a baton, <br /> bean bag shotgun, etc <br /> Fiscal Impacts: Munitions are to be included in the initial purchase price. <br /> Annual Maintenance: None <br /> Personnel Cost: None <br /> Legal/Procedural Rules Governing Use: All use of force applications are governed by state law <br /> (including Penal Code section 13652) and Pleasanton PD Policy Sections 300 and 308. <br /> Training Required: Only officers who have received training from a certified instructor are authorized <br /> to use this device.
