Form, Proportion, and Scale <br /> j! r <br /> Design Standards <br /> Multifamily Development <br /> B7.1 Buildings exceeding 36 feet in height shall provide a Significant Architectural Element at any of <br /> the following: <br /> a. Where located at the corner of two Public Streets. <br /> b. Where located at the terminating end of a paseo that connects to adjacent properties. <br /> c. Where located fronting on a designated open space greater than 5,000 square feet in area. <br /> d. Where located at the terminating end of a view corridor <br /> i. extending perpendicular from a public right-of-way across an open space no less than 50 <br /> feet in depth and framed by buildings greater than thfoe stefies36 feet in height;or <br /> ii. extending from the subject building greater than 1,000 feet beyond the limits of the <br /> project;parallel to an adjacent public right-of-way;and framed by buildings greater than <br /> • 36 feet in height. <br /> B7.2 Significant Architectural Elements shall be limited to the following: <br /> a. A tower or other projecting building mass including a parapet no less than four feet taller <br /> than surrounding elements. <br /> b. A building stepback located at the corner of the uppermost floor with a minimum dimension <br /> of 25 feet. <br /> c. A porch,colonnade, or open terrace with a minimum area of 200 square feet. <br /> d. A roof terrace expressed visibly on the facade of the building with a minimum dimension of <br /> 50 feet. <br /> e.
