Current law <br /> Local land trusts. requires that the housing element include an inventory of land <br /> suitable and available for residential development. If the inventory <br /> of sites does not identify adequate sites to accommodate the need <br /> for groups of all household income levels, as provided, existing law <br /> requires that the local government rezone sites within specified time <br /> periods. Current law prescribes requirements for the disposal of <br /> surplus land, as defined, by a local agency. Current law requires <br /> land to be declared surplus land or exempt surplus land, as <br /> supported by written findings, before a local agency takes any <br /> action to dispose of it consistent with the agency's policies or <br /> procedures. This bill would require each city and county to establish <br /> a local land trust, as defined, for the purposes of holding and <br /> developing real property within the jurisdiction. The bill would <br /> require the local land trust to be governed by the city council or <br /> board of supervisors of the local government. <br /> 4 AB 799 Current law establishes the Homeless Housing, Assistance, and Support if None/seeking <br /> (Rivas, Luz) Prevention program for the purpose of providing jurisdictions with amended feedback <br /> one-time grant funds to support regional coordination and expand <br /> Homeless Housing, or develop local capacity to address their immediate homelessness <br /> Assistance, and challenges informed by a best-practices framework focused on <br /> Prevention program: moving homeless individuals and families into permanent housing <br /> and supporting the efforts of those individuals and families to <br /> Homelessness maintain their permanent housing. Current law provides for the <br /> Accountability Act. allocation of funding under the program among continuums of care, <br /> cities, and counties in 4 rounds, the first of which is administered by <br /> the Business, Consumer Services, and Housing Agency, and the <br /> others are administered by the Homeless Coordinating and <br /> Financing Council. This bill, the Homelessness Accountability Act, <br /> would instead specify that the purpose of the Homeless Housing, <br /> Assistance, and Prevention program is to provide ongoing rant <br /> 2 I' agE <br /> Updated 4.10.23 <br />
