Public Comment regarding items not listed on the agenda. <br /> Mayor Brown opened public comment. There being no speakers, Mayor Brown closed public <br /> comment. <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS AND OTHER MATTERS <br /> If necessary to ensure completion of the following items, the Mayor may alter time limits. <br /> 10. Receive and comment on a presentation of diversity, equity and inclusion practices in Library <br /> programs, services and collections <br /> Recommendation: Receive the presentation. <br /> Heidi Murphy, Director of Library and Recreation, Yu Tao, Library Manager, Cherie Buenaflor, <br /> Library and Recreation Coordinator, and Chris Spitzel, Librarian, presented the item and <br /> responded to questions. <br /> Mayor Brown opened public comment. There being no speakers, Mayor Brown closed public <br /> comment. <br /> 11. Receive an update on Leadership Pleasanton, allocate $10,000 in each fiscal year of the 2023- <br /> 2025 General Fund budget, and approve an annual agreement for City support of the program for <br /> Fiscal Year 2023/24 to allow time to evaluate alternative programs <br /> Recommendation: Allocate $10,000 in each fiscal year of the 2023-2025 General Fund budget <br /> and authorize City Manager to execute and annual agreement between the City of Pleasanton <br /> Chamber of Commerce for $10,000 for support Leadership Pleasanton for Fiscal Year 2023/24 <br /> (Attachment 1), while evaluating alternatives including a City-hosted program. <br /> Pamela Ott, Assistant City Manager, presented the item and responded to questions. <br /> Mayor Brown opened public comment. The following speakers provided comment: Brock Roby, <br /> Randy Brown, Yianna Theodorou, James Cooper, and John Bauer. <br /> Mayor Brown closed public comment. <br /> MOTION: It was m/s by Arkin/Nibert to keep the current year leadership program funding, and in <br /> the Fall of 2023, provide a maximum of two days of City programming for the Chamber of <br /> Commerce's Leadership Pleasanton Program. send up to four City attendees at City Manager's <br /> discretion. and discontinue the annual $10,000 sponsorship of the program.
