Fire sprinklers shall be intermediate rated, quick response type, with a maximum cov- erage area of 130 square feet per sprinkler. R313.2 Large One- and Two-Family Dwelling Residential Sprinkler Systems. In addition to the requirements specified in R313.1, one- and two- family dwellings with a habitable floor area greater than 7,500 square feet shall have an auto- matic fire-sprinkler system designed to include all sprinklers within a compartment, up to a maxi- mum of four sprinklers.
