An <br />automatic residential fire sprinkler system shall be <br />designed and installed in accordance with NFPA <br />13D in all new one- and two-family dwellings and <br />townhouses. In addition, the fire-sprinkler system <br />shall be designed and sprinklers shall be installed <br />in the following locations: <br />1. Attic shall be provided with intermediate <br />temperature-rated residential fire sprinklers <br />for detection coverage, and located at a <br />spacing equivalent to 30 feet by 30 feet cen- <br />ters and a maximum distance of 15 feet from <br />outside walls.
