The International Existing Building Code, <br />2021 Edition, as amended and set forth in the California <br />Existing Building Code, Title 24, Part 10 of the Califor- <br />nia Code of Regulations, published by the International <br />Code Council (including Appendices Chapters A1, A3 <br />and A4) is hereby adopted. <br /> B. The International Existing Building Code <br />(IEBC) adopted in this chapter by reference is amended <br />by the following additions, deletions and amendments <br />thereto as set forth in this chapter. Reference numbers <br />herein are taken from the 2022 California Existing <br />Building Code (CEBC). <br /> C. Where there is a reference in the CEBC to <br />the “Building Official” or “Authority Having Jurisdic- <br />tion” it shall mean the “Building and Safety Official” or <br />in the absence of the Building and Safety Official, the <br />interim, temporary or acting Building and Safety Offi- <br />cial.
