RESOLUTION NO. PC-2023-07 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING REFINEMENT OF OBJECTIVE DESIGN <br />STANDARDS FOR HOUSING SITES (CASE NO. P20-0989) ADOPTED BY CITY <br />COUNCIL RESOLUTION NO. 23-1360 <br />WHEREAS, on January 26, 2023, the City Council adopted Objective Design <br />Standards for Qualifying Housing Developments (Case No. P20-0989) by Resolution <br />No. 23-1360 (the Objective Design Standards); and <br />WHEREAS, in response to public comment and upon further consideration of the <br />adopted standards, the City proposes to make modifications to the Objective Design <br />Standards for Housing Sites, which were Exhibit A to Resolution No. 23-1360, in the <br />interest of providing clearer language and graphics, amended standards to better align <br />with the Pleasanton Municipal Code, and corrections to erroneous text; and <br />WHEREAS, no changes are proposed for the Objective Design Standards for <br />Multifamily Housing in the R-M, C-C, and M-U Zoning Districts, which were Exhibit B to <br />Resolution No. 23-1360; and <br />WHEREAS, on April 12, 2023, the Planning Commission held a duly noticed <br />public hearing and considered the written agenda report, relevant exhibits, <br />recommendations of City staff, and received testimony from interested parties regarding <br />these modifications to the Objective Design Standards for Housing Sites to City Council. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the City <br />of Pleasanton, based on the entire record of proceedings, including the oral and written <br />staff reports and all public comment and testimony: <br />Section 1: The Planning Commission recommends that the City Council find the <br />modifications to the Objective Design Standards to the Standards for <br />Housing Sites would implement and be consistent with the goals and <br />policies of the 2023-2031 (6th Cycle) Housing Element Update <br />Environmental Impact Report (State Clearinghouse No. 2022040091) <br />certified by the City Council on January 26, 2023 by Resolution No. <br />23-1357. <br />Section 2: The Planning Commission hereby recommends that the City Council <br />adopt the Objective Design Standards for Housing Sites, attached as <br />Attachment 1 to this resolution to replace the Objective Design Standards <br />for Housing Sites which were Exhibit A to Resolution No. 23-1360. <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the Planning Commission of the City of <br />Pleasanton at a regular meeting held on April 12, 2023, by the following vote: <br />EXHIBIT A
