City of Pleasanton—Stoneridge Mall Residential Project
Section 15183 Checklist/15164 Addendum CEQA Checklist/Addendum

FirstCarbon Solutions 43
Https://adecinnovations.sharepoint.com/sites/PublicationsSite/Shared Documents/Publications/Client (PN-JN)/2148/21480017/Consistency Checklist/21480017 Stoneridge Mall Residential Project Checklist
Addendum_Updated.docx
SECTION 3: CEQA CHECKLIST/ADDENDUM
The purpose of this Checklist/Addendum is to evaluate the project in terms of any project-specific or
site-specific impacts or changed condition (e.g., changed circumstances, project changes, or new
information of substantial importance) that may result in a changed environmental result (e.g., a
new significant impact or substantial increase in the severity of a previously identified significant
effect) (CEQA Guidelines § 15162).
The questions posed in the checklist are based on the City’s thresholds of significance and are
derived from Appendix G of the CEQA Guidelines. A “no” answer does not necessarily mean that
there are no potential impacts relative to the environmental category, but that there is no change in
the condition or status of the impact since it was analyzed and addressed with mitigation measures
in the Prior EIR. These environmental categories might be answered with a “no” in the checklist,
since the proposed project does not introduce changes that would result in a modification to the
conclusion of the previously approved CEQA document.
3.1 - Explanation of Checklist/Addendum Evaluation Categories
The following describes the purpose of the evaluation categories included in the tables preceding
each topical section of this Checklist/Addendum.
(1) Conclusion in Prior EIR and Related Documents
This column summarizes the conclusion of the Prior EIR relative to the environmental issue
listed under each topic.
(2) Are the Project Impacts Consistent with 15183?
Pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15183, this column indicates project consistency with
the following:
• Impacts are not peculiar to the parcel or to the project site.
• Impacts have been addressed as a significant effect in the Prior EIR.
• Impacts can be substantially mitigated by the imposition of uniformly applied
development policies or standards.

(3) Do the Proposed Changes Involve New Impacts?
Pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15162, subd. (a)(1), this column indicates whether the
changes represented by the proposed project will result in new significant environmental
impacts not previously identified or mitigated by the previous EIR or whether the changes
will result in a substantial increase in the severity of a previously identified significant
impact.
