<br />Planning Commission Minutes Page 2 of 4 January 11, 2023 <br />Chair Pace opened the public hearing. The following individuals provided comment: Cecily Barclay, <br />Alan Chamorro, Jocelyn Combs, Chuck Davis, John Hall, Jerry Hunt, Dean Wallace, and Kash Yajnik. <br /> <br />Chair Pace closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />MOTION: It was m/s by Mohan/Gaidos to approve the item as recommended. Motion passed by the <br />following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Commissioners Gaidos, Mohan, Morgan, and Pace <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: Commissioner Jain <br /> <br />4. P21-0751, 2023-2031 (6th Cycle) Housing Element Update – Review, consider, and make <br />recommendations on: <br />a) Adopting and certifying as adequate and complete the Final Environmental Impact Report <br />(EIR) for the City of Pleasanton 2023-2031 (6th Cycle) Housing Element Update and <br />adopting the Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Plan (SCH 2022040091); and adopting <br />California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Findings and the Statement of Overriding <br />Considerations for the Final Program Environmental Impact Report for the 2023-2031, 6th <br />Cycle Housing Element (SCH 2022040091); <br />b) Adopting an amendment to the General Plan to update the Housing Element for the <br />2023-2031 6th Cycle; and <br />c) Adopting amendments to the General Plan for conformity with the 2023-2031 (6th Cycle) <br />Housing Element and Stoneridge Mall Framework. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />a) Adopt Resolution No. PC-2023-1 recommending the City Council certify the final EIR for <br />the 6th Cycle Housing Element, adopt the Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program, and <br />adopt the Statement of Overriding Considerations. <br />b) Adopt Resolution No. PC-2023-2 recommending the City Council adopt a General Plan <br />amendment to update the Housing Element period of 2023-2031 (6th Cycle). <br />c) Adopt Resolution No. PC-2023-3 recommending the City Council approve amendments to <br />the General Plan consistent with the 6th Cycle Housing Element and Stoneridge Mall <br />Framework. <br /> <br />Associate Planner Megan Campbell presented the item. <br /> <br />Chair Pace opened the public hearing. The following individuals provided comment: Dominic D. Dutra, <br />Guy Houston, Peter MacDonald, Katia McClain, Ahmad Sheikholeslami, and Dean Wallace. <br /> <br />Chair Pace closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />FIRST MOTION: It was m/s by Gaidos/Mohan to approve Item 4a as recommended.
