Regards, Ellen Holmgren, Administrative Assistant City of Pleasanton Frorr Sent: Monday, March 20, 2023 8:07 AM To: Mayor and City Council<citycouncil@cityofpleasantonca.gov> Subject: City Council Agenda Item 14: CIP priorities ***[EXTERNAL]This message comes from an external organization.Exercise caution when opening attachments or clicking links,especially from unknown senders.*** Dear Pleasanton City Council Members, As a Dublin resident and bicyclist, I am writing to express my support for keeping maintenance of the Centennial Trail, an important connection between Dublin and Pleasanton, as a priority for FY 23-24.This trail should be paved and maintained for the entirety of its length to provide a true all ages and abilities bike facility.This trail connection to the Alamo Canal Trail on the Dublin side of 580 is one of the only safe ways to cross the freeway without having to bike over a dangerous overpass. As a mom who used to ride around with my kids in a cargo bike when they were younger,gravel portions of trails were challenging to navigate safely and I know gravel riding is difficult for other types of bikes that many people ride.This trail is a great resource for the city and should be maintained so that it can be utilized by the maximum number of users. Please keep the Centennial Trail and Arroyo Mocho surface improvements on the list of council priorities for FY 23-24. Thank you, Kristi Marleau 1
