PLEASANTON <br /> PLEASANTON, CHAiViBFRf <br /> Agreement for Leadership Pleasanton Program Support COMMERCE <br /> This agreement is by and between the City of Pleasanton (City) and the Pleasanton <br /> Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) to define support and participation for the <br /> Leadership Pleasanton program as identified herein. <br /> 1. Activities. The City and the Chamber agree to mutually beneficial participation in <br /> the following activity: <br /> Leadership Pleasanton <br /> Leadership Pleasanton identifies emerging community leaders and offers broad <br /> exposure to issues considered vital to our community. The program is designed as an <br /> educational forum in which participants learn about the array of businesses, public <br /> agencies, nonprofit and community-based organizations, and leaders who make up the <br /> environment of the city of Pleasanton. Through these contacts, interactive exercises <br /> and field trips, demonstrations and discussions participants expand their leadership <br /> skills, knowledge, and involvement in the Pleasanton community. <br /> The program will be held one day each month for a nine-month period, generally <br /> September through May, or as agreed upon by the Chamber and the City. Topics are to <br /> be designed to educate program participants about key facets of the community as well <br /> as regional issues with significant impact to Pleasanton, as determined by the <br /> Leadership Pleasanton steering committee. To accomplish this, the following <br /> responsibilities are outlined: <br /> The Chamber will <br /> • Serve as the overall coordinator of the Leadership Pleasanton program <br /> • Solicit attendee participation in the program <br /> • Schedule and assist in conducting individual sessions <br /> • Coordinate a steering committee to provide development/oversight of the <br /> program <br /> • Conduct financial management of the program and provide quarterly updates to <br /> the Chamber Foundation. <br /> The City will <br /> • Promote the Leadership Pleasanton program <br /> • Solicit City staff attendee participation in the program <br /> • Provide City staff and resources as necessary to support the desired outcomes <br /> for individual sessions <br /> • Have representative(s) serve on the steering committee <br /> • Provide $10,000 annually to support the program. <br />
