The <br />proposed project would construct a single building with 5-6 stories, 360 multi-family residential <br />units, 18,000 square feet of calculated private open space, 24,000 square feet of group usable open <br />space, and approximately 65,000 square feet of public open space, totaling a gross floor area of <br />approximately 618,000 square feet. <br />Findings <br />a) Potential Degradation to Environment and Examples of California History or Prehistory <br />Prior EIR Conclusions <br />The Prior EIR found that development of the potential sites considered for rezoning could result in <br />significant impacts regarding the potential to significantly degrade the quality of the environment, <br />including effects on animals or plants. It also found that there would be a potentially significant <br />impact to prehistoric cultural resources and a significant impact to historic resources. <br />Analysis of Proposed Project <br />The proposed project has the potential to have impacts to nesting birds. However, with the <br />implementation of MM 4.C-1a, which was identified in the Prior EIR and is identified throughout this <br />document, these impacts would be reduced to a less than significant level. <br />The Prior EIR also concluded that significant impacts could occur related to prehistoric resources, <br />including human remains.
