For Area 18 the property owner has stated that existing leases would expire <br />in a timeframe allowing for redevelopment; and for Area 16, the motel has seen steeply <br />decreased occupancy in the most recent 5 years, decreasing over 31% based on Transient <br />Occupancy Tax receipts. Further evidence in work by the City to develop a sample site plan for <br />this site (among other select sites), to demonstrate the feasibility of developing the site at the <br />proposed density (Attachment 4) while meeting the City’s development standards. For Area <br />25, the Pleasanton Unified School District has stated its intent to vacate its district offices and <br />move to newly purchased space comprised of 6.69 acres and 113,000 square feet of office at <br />5758 and 5794 W. Las Positas Blvd. via a purchase agreement approved by the District’s <br />Board of Trustees on May 12, 2022, and grant deed recorded August 22, 2022 . Conceptual <br />proposals for residential development at Area 25 were presented to the Pleasanton Planning <br />Commission on January 11, 2023, and City Council on January 26 (Attachment 5). <br /> <br />//
