Resolution No. PC-2023-06 <br />Page Thirty-Four <br /> <br /> <br />TRAFFIC ENGINEERING DIVISION – 925-931-5677 <br /> <br />132. TRAFFIC IMPACT FEES: The applicant shall pay any traffic impact fees for the development as <br />determined by the City Traffic Engineer. The fee shall be paid prior to building permit issuance. <br /> <br />Bicycle Parking <br /> <br />133. BICYCLE PARKING: Projects with 20 or more vehicle parking spaces shall provide minimum <br />bicycle parking equivalent to five percent of the total number of vehicle parking spaces, with a <br />maximum of 20 required bicycle parking spaces. Bicycle parking shall be shown on the building <br />permit plans for review and approval by the Traffic Engineering Division prior to building permit <br />submittal. <br /> <br />134. BICYCLE RACKS: All bicycle racks shall comply with the following criteria: <br />a. Located in a visible and accessible location <br />b. Support the frame of the bicycle and not just one wheel <br />c. Allow the frame and one wheel to be locked to the rack <br />d. Allow the use of either a cable or U-shaped lock <br />e. Be securely anchored <br />f. Be usable by bikes with no kickstand <br />g. Be usable by a wide variety of bicycle sizes and types. <br /> <br />The number, location and type of bicycle racks shall be shown on the building permit plans and shall be <br />subject to review and approval by the City Traffic Engineer prior to issuance of building permits. <br /> <br />Traffic Control <br /> <br />135. TRAFFIC CONTROL Plan (TCP): A comprehensive traffic control plan shall be submitted to the <br />City Traffic Engineer for review and approval. Best management practices to minimize traffic <br />impacts shall be used during construction, including scheduling of major truck trips and deliveries, <br />to avoid peak travel hours. The TCP shall have proper lane closure procedures such as flagger <br />stations, signage, cones, and other warning devices implemented during construction. The TCP <br />shall also include time of day/hours of lane closures and total number of days. <br /> <br />136. TRUCK ROUTES: The haul route for all materials to and from the project site shall be reviewed <br />and approved by the City Traffic Engineer prior to building permit issuance and shall include the <br />provision to monitor the street surfaces used for the haul route so that any damage and debris <br />attributable to the haul trucks is identified and corrected at the expense of the applicant. <br /> <br />137. TRAFFIC SIGNAGE AND STRIPING – ON SITE: All on site traffic related signage and striping <br />shall be included in the building permits plans for review and approval by the City Traffic Engineer <br />prior to building permit issuance. <br /> <br />138. TRAFFIC SIGNAGE AND STRIPING – OFF SITE: All off site traffic related signage and striping <br />shall be included in the improvement plans for review and approval by the City Traffic Engineer <br />prior to permit issuance. <br /> <br />END <br />
