Members of the Planning Commission and Housing
Commission in attendance of the meeting were rotated throughout the breakout rooms to view all
conversations. Miro,an online collaborative visualization software, was used to encourage discussion,
pose consistent questions across all breakout rooms, and conduct live notetaking that was visible to
breakout room participants. Five questions were asked to prompt the conversation, as well as provide an
opportunity for additional discussion items:
Question One:
What open spaces do you spend time in in Pleasanton or other communities? What draws you to
these spaces?
Question Two:
Open space is key to connecting with the existing mall. What features will help activate that space?
Question Three:
Open space is a key part of the circulation plan. Are there any features you would like to see
highlighted in the BART promenade or ring walkway?
Question Four:
What types of retail uses, services and attractions would you like to experience at the mall?Gym,
theater, grocery, dining, hotel, other uses?
Question Five:
The draft Housing Element includes housing at the Mall.
