ATTACHMENT A <br /> City of Pleasanton <br /> Stoneridge Mall Framework <br /> Joint Planning Commission and Community Meeting <br /> Thursday, December 8, 2022,6:00 p.m. via Zoom <br /> Introduction <br /> On December 8, 2022, the City of Pleasanton hosted a second Community Meeting for the Stoneridge Mall <br /> Framework project. This meeting is part of a comprehensive public engagement strategy, intended to <br /> introduce and seek community feedback on Framework concepts and options including open space <br /> concepts, circulation, guiding principles for design and land use. <br /> Outreach & Attendees <br /> Invitations for the community meeting were distributed via email to approximately 300 subscribers to the <br /> Stoneridge Mall Framework opt-in email notification list. <br /> Additionally,the community meeting was promoted through the Stoneridge Mall Framework website <br /> (www.StoneridqeMallFramework.com),the City website(www.cityofpleasantonca.gov),advertised in the City <br /> weekly e-newsletter,announced on the following City social media accounts: Facebook,Twitter,and Nextdoor, <br /> and announced at the December 6th City Council meeting. <br /> Approximately 50 members of the public attended the meeting, in addition to the project team, some <br /> Planning and Housing Commissioners as well as some mall property owners and their representatives. <br /> Meeting Format <br /> This community meeting was solely focused on the Stoneridge Mall Framework process and scheduled <br /> outside of formal City Council and Commission meetings. The meeting was held virtually via Zoom with the <br /> option to participate over the phone, and was recorded and posted to the Stoneridge Mall Framework <br /> website so it could be viewed at any time.Also, the presentation included the City's project contact <br /> information and was posted on the Stoneridge Mall Framework website to facilitate additional comments or <br /> questions. <br /> The meeting was opened by Ellen Clark, Director of Community Development,who welcomed attendees <br /> and introduced the City staff team, Van Meter Williams Pollack (urban design and Planning consultant <br /> firm), Economic&Planning Systems (market, economic and fiscal analysis firm) and Fehr& Peers (traffic <br /> and transportation firm) staff. The team presented on the following topics (attached as Exhibit A): <br /> • Framework Concepts and Options: <br /> o Open Space Concepts <br /> o Circulation: Pedestrian, Bike and Vehicles <br /> o Guiding Principles for Design <br /> o Land Use: Housing and Other Components <br /> During the presentation, attendees were encouraged to participate by asking questions and providing <br /> comments through the Zoom chat function. After the introductory presentation on behalf of the project <br /> team, the attendees were assigned to one of four virtual breakout rooms for a facilitated discussion (see <br /> Breakout Rooms below). Attendees of the meeting reconvened as a large group after the breakout <br /> sessions to discuss the outcome of the small-group conversations. <br />
