Objective Design Standards for Multifamily Housing in R-M, C-C, and M-U Zoning Districts <br />City of Pleasanton - 27 - December 14, 2022 - DRAFT <br />C6. Historic Buildings <br />Buildings officially determined to be historically significant and listed in the Pleasanton Inventory of Historic <br />Resources or Pleasanton Downtown Historic Context Statement are essential to the fabric and character of <br />Downtown Pleasanton. <br />Development Standards <br />Downtown Sites <br />C6.1 Development retaining or incorporating existing buildings shall retain the original facade <br />materials. Deteriorated architectural features shall be repaired to the maximum extent feasible. <br />C6.2 Replacement of original features and materials shall match the size, design, and placement, of the <br />original feature. <br />C6.3 Original upper story windows at existing buildings shall be uncovered, reopened, and repaired, <br />where found. <br />Design Guidelines <br />Downtown Sites <br />C6.a New construction incorporating existing historic buildings should differentiate new materials from <br />historic materials to the maximum extent possible and should be compatible with the massing, <br />size, scale of the existing materials.
