Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing City of Pleasanton | F-11 <br />• Rehabilitation Act of 1973 – see Fair Housing Act; also, the City complies through its <br />accessibility protocols, administered and enforced by the City’s ADA/504 Coordinator and <br />Building Official. <br />• American Disabilities Act – the City complies with the ADA through building permit review <br />and issuance and as described in Appendix C (Housing Constraints, Section C.2.2, <br />Housing for Persons with Disabilities). <br />• California Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA) and FEHA Regulations – the <br />City complies with FEHA and its regulations through established City protocols for hiring <br />and decision making, mandatory trainings for City staff, and legal counsel and advisement. <br />• Government Code Section 65008 – the City ensures that the City’s actions are not <br />discriminatory through training programs conducted by the City’s Human Resources <br />Department. Programs are included in this Housing Element to facilitate housing for all <br />households, including protected classes (e.g., programs regarding residential care facilities, <br />reasonable accommodation, transitional and supportive housing, and emergency shelters). <br />• Government Code Section 8899.50 – Appendix F of this Housing Element documents <br />compliance with Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing requirements. <br />• Government Code Section 11135 et. seq. – the City complies with anti-discrimination <br />requirements through the City’s Human Resources programs and the City’s procurement <br />protocols. <br />• Density Bonus Law (Government Code Section 65915) – the City must update its <br />density bonus provisions in compliance with the Density Bonus Law as described in <br />Appendix C (Housing Constraints) and Program 2.7. <br />• Housing Accountability Act (Government Code Section 65589.5) – the City has <br />documented compliance with the HAA as described in Appendix C (Housing Constraints). <br />• No-Net-Loss Law (Government Code Section 65863) – the City has documented <br />compliance with sufficient capacity for RHNA and will ensure compliance with no-net-loss <br />via programs (Program 1.2). <br />• Least Cost Zoning Law (Government Code Section 65913.1) – the City includes <br />programs in this Housing Element to ensure that sufficient land is zoned with appropriate <br />standards to accommodate its RHNA. <br />• Excessive subdivision standards (Government Code Section 65913.2) – the City’s <br />subdivision standards are typical or not excessive in compliance with the Government <br />Code (see Appendix C, Section C.2.5). <br />• Limits on growth control (Government Code Section 65302.8) – the City’s Growth <br />Management Ordinance was amended to comply with state law and accommodate RHNA <br />(see Appendix C, Section C.2.2, Growth Management).
