ECHO Housing <br />conducts outreach to <br />employers and lower <br />income target groups in <br />the community to <br />encourage participation <br />in affordable housing <br />programs. The City <br />continues to meet <br />regularly as a member of <br />the Tri-Valley Affordable <br />Housing Committee to <br />help develop strategies to <br />make housing more <br />affordable to local <br />businesses. <br />Modify: Broaden and <br />retain as a policy. <br />At-Risk Housing Affordable to Low- and Very Low-Income Households <br />14.1 <br />Preserve for the longest term feasible, rent <br />restricted assisted projects affordable to <br />extremely low-, low- and very low-income <br />households, and provide assistance to <br />retain below-market rate rent restrictions. <br />- Housing Division <br />Since 2001, all regulatory <br />agreements have <br />included a provision that <br />the terms shall apply in <br />perpetuity (or for 99 <br />years if restricted due to <br />financing requirements). <br />The City has no at-risk <br />projects (i.e., assisted <br />projects at risk of <br />Modify: Program is <br />duplicative of others and <br />has been reframed <br />merged into a single <br />policy (New Policy 3.3) <br />Also see Program 10.2.
