j) "In-Tract Main" shall mean a water main within the <br /> physical boundaries of a lot or subdivision. <br /> <br /> k) "Perimeter Main" shall mean a water main in a street or <br /> right-of-way on or about the border of a lot or sub- <br /> division which is or may be shared by two or more <br /> developers. <br /> <br /> 1) "Water Main Extension" shall mean a water main con- <br /> necting a developerrs lot or subdivision with a non- <br /> adjacent water main and which benefits or will benefit <br /> lands on one or both sides of the main that are not <br /> part of developer~s lot or subdivision; "water main <br /> extensions" are also sometimes referred to as "off- <br /> tract mains". <br /> <br /> m) "Valley Floor Zone" shall mean that area within or <br /> without the City roughly between the elevations of <br /> 315 to 430 feet and served or capable of being served <br /> by gravity from the main storage facilities of the <br /> City water system located at elevations approximately <br /> 485 to 535 feet. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: ESTABLISHMENT OF CONNECTION CHARGES. To estab- <br />lish appropriate provisions for the construction and expansion of <br />the water system of the City in the Valley Floor Zone, including <br />transmission mains, storage and pumping facilities, and to be <br />assured that the cost of such construction and expansion is borne <br />by those who receive the benefits thereof, there is hereby <br />established connection charges for all connections made to the <br />water system of the City after the effective date of this Ordin- <br />ance, in accordance with the following schedule: <br /> <br /> a) For each service connection as defined herein, a sum <br /> as established in the following table depending on the <br /> size of the meter required for that service connection <br /> as determined by the City. <br /> <br /> Meter Size Connection Fee <br /> '~'Inches ). ~; <br /> <br /> 5/8 110 <br /> 3/4 152 <br /> 1 234 <br /> 1-1/2 440 <br /> 2 690 <br /> 3 1,260 <br /> 4 2,090 <br /> 6 4,160 <br /> <br /> b) For any service connection larger than listed above <br /> the City will determine the charge; or a battery of <br /> meters may be used at the City's option. <br /> <br /> c) Any change in use or addition requiring greater capacity <br /> will require the payment of additional fees at the rates <br /> established by this Ordinance as a condition of con- <br /> tinued service. <br /> <br /> - 2 - <br /> <br /> <br />
