Horizons Early Education Center, District Maintenance <br /> yard, and STEAM preschool. <br /> Key Considerations and Feasibility for Site Development: <br /> Many of the site's buildings were constructed in the 1970's and are considered <br /> outdated. Based on the PUSD's growing needs, it is seeking opportunities to relocate <br /> its existing facilities from this site to another location, and making the site available for <br /> residential development, although the school district would need to identify and obtain <br /> a new location for all current operations on the site prior to any future development. <br /> The District is actively pursuing acquisition of space elsewhere in Pleasanton to <br /> accommodate several of the uses located on this site. <br /> The site does not include the adjacent ballfield and park along Bernal Avenue <br /> (Pleasanton Upper Playfields) which would remain a City facility. The PUSD property <br /> lies outside of the boundaries of the Downtown Specific Plan. Bernal Avenue and <br /> First Street, both major arterials, border the site. Nearby uses include a commercial <br /> building and parking lot immediately opposite the site, single family residential uses <br /> across Abbie Street to the north, and the playfields to the east.
