Councilmember Testa presented the proclamation. <br /> Deepti Mahajan received the proclamation and provided comment. <br /> 17. Presentation by California Department of Insurance regarding Safer from Wildfire program <br /> Mary Beth Bykowsky presented the item. <br /> 18. Public Comment regarding items not listed on the agenda <br /> Mayor Brown opened public comment. The following individuals provided comment: Mary Vargas, <br /> Kelly Cousins, Meghana Mitragotri, Christina Nystrom, Judy Wheeler, Jeff Nibert. <br /> Mayor Brown closed public comment. <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS AND OTHER MATTERS <br /> 19. Establish a new capital improvement project —development and analysis of water supply <br /> alternatives with a total budget of $363,755, approve a professional services agreement with <br /> Brown and Caldwell in the amount of$263,755 to develop and analyze water supply alternatives, <br /> and appropriate funds from the water fund <br /> Recommendation: <br /> 1) Establish a new Capital Improvement Project — Development and Analysis of Water Supply <br /> Alternatives. <br /> 2) Allocate $363,755 from the Water Fund balance to the Water Replacement Capital <br /> Improvement Program to fund the project. <br /> 3) Approve and authorize $100,000 for as-needed legal services associated with the project. <br /> 4) Approve and authorize the City Manager to execute an agreement with Brown and Caldwell <br /> in the amount of$263,755 which includes a 10 percent contingency to develop and analyze <br /> water supply alternatives. <br /> Interim Director of Operations Services and Managing Director of Utilities and Environment Dan <br /> Repp presented the item. Managing Director Repp and consultants from Brown and Caldwell <br /> answered questions from the City Council. <br /> Mayor Brown opened the public hearing. The following individuals provided comment: Linda Kelly <br /> and Jill Buck. <br /> Mayor Brown closed the public hearing. <br /> FIRST MOTION: It was m/s by Narum/Brown to approve the item as recommended.
