3.2.3. Vehicle ceiling and walls shall be insulated with 1.0" nominal thickness rigid foam <br /> board insulation or equivalent, minimum R-1 1 insulation value rated against sound, <br /> heat and cold environment. <br /> 3.2.3.1. Underbody shall be protected from road spray and elements by an additional <br /> layer of rubberized automotive undercoating. <br /> 3.2.4. Vehicle ceiling shall be sub-paneled with 3/8" environmentally conscious furniture <br /> grade plywood and overlaid with environmentally conscious ribbed acoustical fabric. <br /> The fabric shall be applied in a manner consistent with the lifetime of the vehicle. <br /> Color and texture of fabric shall be selected by the city from the vendor's"standard" <br /> offerings. <br /> 3.2.5. Vehicle walls shall be sub-paneled with 3/8" environmentally conscious furniture <br /> grade plywood and overlaid with "Velcro friendly" environmentally conscious <br /> commercial finish. Color and type of finish shall be selected by the city from the <br /> vendor's "standard" offerings. <br /> 3.2.6. Vehicle flooring shall be sub-paneled with 1/2" environmentally conscious exterior <br /> grade plywood applied over heavy-weight tar paper or equivalent moisture barrier, <br /> properly filled and prepared for floor covering. <br /> 3.2.7. Floor covering shall be single sheet commercial grade vinyl flooring. <br /> 3.2.7.1. Covering shall have a 10-year minimum wear warranty. <br /> 3.2.7.2. Sub-flooring shall be properly prepared prior to installation of the floor <br /> covering. <br /> 3.2.7.3. Flooring shall be installed in a manner consistent with the manufacturer's <br /> recommendations. <br /> 3.2.7.4. Any significant flooring remnants remaining from the installation shall be <br /> shipped loose with the completed vehicle. <br /> 3.2.7.5. The city will select the exact color and pattern of flooring from vendor's <br /> selections based on other interior color choices. <br /> 3.2.7.6. Covering shall have a static coefficient of friction of 0.6 on level surfaces. <br /> 3.2.7.7. Covering shall meet the requirements of ASTM C 501 for wear resistance. <br /> 3.2.7.8. Covering shall meet the current requirements of ASTM E 648 (USA) and <br /> ULCS 102.2 (Canada)for fire safety. <br /> 3.2.8. Floor covering in the driver/passenger area shall be carpeted with insulated <br /> padding beneath to help with sound attenuation. <br /> 3.2.8.1. Carpeting shall be installed on all applicable foot surfaces and on the engine <br /> cover within the cab area. <br /> 3.2.8.2. Carpeting shall be chosen by city from manufacturer's selections. <br /> 3.2.9.
