A crew will visit the site between 3 times per month in the first 2 years, and while the irrigation system is running,the crew will perform weed management and irrigation system maintenance tasks. Per the HMMP, the plantings will not be watered for more than 2 years, though, Hanford and Sequoia may initiate discussion with the City to minimally irrigate in Maintenance Year 3 as a change order depending on survivorship and plant health assessed at that time.The crew may also periodically remove, adjust, or expand browse protection cages to account for native spread/growth. Hanford assumes that there may be a need to replace a portion of plants if there is mortality in each maintenance year. Hanford will replace any/all dead plants per year as they occur. Changes to species palette may need to occur if some species are better suited than others. Changes will be initiated with Sequoia and proposed to the City for review/approval. Below is a draft schedule and description of maintenance events and tasks. Hanford reserves the right to re-schedule or postpone work at any time due to existing environmental conditions that create unsafe work environment for crews (Covid-19, air quality index, wildfires, etc.). Hanford assumes full access to the site to perform work (gates unlocked, property access, etc.).This task does not include design, surveys, monitoring reports or water pollution control elements (unless specifically negotiated).
