• Organizational Culture <br /> o Identification of policies and practices that have a disparate impact on marginalized <br /> communities <br /> o Identification of policies and practices that are contributing to the success of people <br /> from marginalized backgrounds <br /> o Evaluation of station and assignment bid process <br /> o Existence and impact of internal committees and working groups <br /> • Equipment and Related Materials <br /> o Equity and accessibility of key items including but not limited to: apparatus, safety gear, <br /> uniforms and equipment <br /> o Accessibility of fire engines including height of hose beds versus industry standard <br /> o Uniform and clothing requirements <br /> • Physical Space <br /> o Evaluation of fire department buildings to determine strengths and weaknesses in <br /> layout as it relates to accessibility for all staff members <br /> DELIVERABLES <br /> • A written analysis of existing Fire Department strengths and gaps with clear recommendations on <br /> how to best build upon strengths that will enhance equity throughout the organization and for its <br /> employees <br /> 3.3 Employee Outreach Plan ($5,000) <br /> MGT will design and administer a set of protocols to garner insight of staff and leadership perspective <br /> regarding organizational culture, equity in the workplace, and the employee experience. To maximize <br /> awareness of the City's commitment to equity, build interest and motivation to engage in the <br /> organization's DEI-related vision and this assessment, we will create an internal staff outreach plan to <br /> boost authentic engagement from City and Fire Department staff. This staff outreach plan will provide a <br /> strategic road map for informing staff of the importance of their participation. <br /> DELIVERABLE <br /> • Employee Outreach Plan to maximize awareness and motivation for internal stakeholders to <br /> engage in the feedback portion of the DEI assessment <br /> 3.4 Employee Engagement ($25,000) <br /> MGT will design and administer a set of protocols to garner insight of staff and leadership perspective <br /> regarding organizational culture, equity in the workplace, and the employee experience for City <br /> employees and Fire Department employees. Upon completion of a staff survey and the facilitation of <br /> employee focus groups, we will evaluate all insight collected to ensure representative participation from <br /> all stakeholder groups and re-administer with targeted outreach if necessary. <br /> •❖.
