IN THE AMOUNT OF $268,000 FOR <br /> THE POLICE DEPARTMENT TRAINING FACILITY REPAIRS PROJECT, <br /> CIP NO. 22482 <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The Pleasanton Police Department's shooting range was closed in February 2020 due <br /> to deficiencies in the bullet trap system. To return the range to service, mitigation of the <br /> existing sand trap, installation of a rubber bullet trap, roof modifications to accommodate <br /> the new trap, a new targeting system, and lighting and ventilation improvements are <br /> recommended. The professional services agreement with Gillis + Panichapan <br /> Architects, Inc. will provide site assessment and design services to develop biddable <br /> construction documents for the necessary improvements to the shooting range to return <br /> it to service for pistols used in a fixed firing lane configuration. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Approve the professional services agreement with Gillis + Panichapan Architects, Inc. in <br /> the amount of$268,000 for site assessment and design services for the Police <br /> Department Training Facility Repairs Project, CIP No. 22482. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The total funding for the Police Department Training Facility Repairs Project, CIP No. <br /> 22482, is $300,000. The anticipated expenditures for the site assessment and design <br /> services total $268,000, which includes a $20,000 allowance for site surveying and <br /> geotechnical work. <br />
