10 <br />THE CITY OF <br />CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />PLEASANTON. <br />September 6, 2022 <br />Operations Services <br />TITLE: APPROVE THIRD AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT WITH ACCO <br />ENGINEERED SYSTEMS FOR HVAC MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS <br />BY INCREASING THE NOT TO EXCEED CONTRACT AMOUNT FROM <br />$800,000 to $1,300,000 AND EXTENDING TERM TO JUNE 30, 2024 <br />SUMMARY <br />To effectively maintain City -owned facility heating, ventilation, and air conditioning <br />(HVAC) equipment systems, the Operations Services Department uses a contractor to <br />perform maintenance. ACCO Engineered Systems (ACCO) is the City's current HVAC <br />contractor for the maintenance and emergency repairs. This past year, the HVAC <br />systems required extensive repairs and replacements. In addition, system filters were <br />upgraded during the pandemic as recommended by the Alameda County Health <br />Department and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Staff is seeking <br />to amend the agreement with ACCO Engineering Systems to increase the total <br />compensation amount to a not -to -exceed cumulative amount of $1,300,000 and extend <br />the current maintenance agreement through FY 2023/24. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Approve and authorize the City Manager to execute the third amendment with ACCO <br />Engineered Systems to a not -to -exceed cumulative amount of $1,300,000 and extend <br />the agreement to June 30, 2024. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />The maintenance agreement with ACCO Engineered Systems is funded by the <br />Facilities Operating Budget (40301) and Facilities Repair and Renovation (Internal <br />Service Fund 515). <br />
