9 <br /> THE CITY OF <br /> , ' CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pLEASANTON_ <br /> August 16, 2022 <br /> Operations Services <br /> TITLE: APPROVE FIRST AMENDMENTS TO THREE AGREEMENTS FOR ON- <br /> CALL ELECTRICAL & INSTRUMENTATION/CONTROL ENGINEERING <br /> SERVICES BY INCREASING THE CUMULATIVE NOT-TO-EXCEED <br /> AMOUNT FOR FY 2022/23 & FY 2023/24 BY $100,000 EACH <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The Operations Services Department is responsible for the maintenance and repair of <br /> electrical components that are part of the City's infrastructure, from government office <br /> buildings to utility pump stations. On-Call Electrical & Instrumentation/Control <br /> Engineering Services Agreements provide access to electrical engineering consultants <br /> who can perform equipment investigations, design electrical/instrumentation systems, <br /> engineering recommendations for emergency situations, and other tasks associated <br /> with public works infrastructure design. The department has identified a need to utilize <br /> on-call electrical consulting contractors to support routine and emergency projects that <br /> come up through the next two years. <br /> Staff is requesting to amend each of the three On-Call Electrical & <br /> Instrumentation/Control Engineering Services Agreements to increase the existing not- <br /> to-exceed amount from $100,000 to $200,000 for FY 2022/23 and FY 2023/24 for a <br /> total increase of $100,000. <br /> RECOMMENDATION,. <br /> Authorize the City Manager to amend each of the three On-Call Electrical & <br /> Instrumentation/Control Engineering Services Agreements by increasing the cumulative <br /> not-to-exceed amount from $100,000 to $200,000 for FY 2022/23 and FY 2023/24. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> Funding for the three On-Call Electrical & Instrumentation/Control Engineering Services <br /> Agreements has been allocated in the Water (42442101) and Sewer (43442201) funds <br /> for the FY 2022/23. Budget for FY 2023/24 will be allocated as part of the upcoming <br /> biennial budget process. Each utility has sufficient budget to support the on-call work. <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> The Operations Services Department is responsible for the electrical infrastructure at <br /> the City's public, government, recreation, water, sewer, and storm facilities.
