Page 3
expected to begin until spring/summer of 2023. Advertisement for construction will begin after
the PG&E work is completed.

Costco/Johnson Drive Improvement Projects – Costco awarded the offsite construction
contract in July of 2022. The construction contract set to begin in September and the estimated
timeline for construction of all roadway improvements is 18 months placing construction
completion in March of 2024.

Cycletrack under I-580 at East Dublin/Pleasanton BART Station – This project is fully
designed but is on hold due to lack of construction funding. The City of Dublin in cooperation
with the City of Pleasanton and BART, recently submitted a grant proposal for a One Bay Area
Grant (OBAG) to the Alameda County Transportation Commission (ACTC) on behalf of BART.
BART was unable to apply to the ACTC grant directly since only three projects per agency are
allowed and BART did not have the Cycletrack project as a top 3 project.

GRANTS:
Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (RAISE) Grant – This
grant was submitted to the US DOT in April 2022 for the WLP Reconstruction Project. The
project improves one of the few east-west corridors in the city and balances the needs of all
modes of transportation with new travel options for all Pleasanton residents. This RAISE grant
application seeks funding to complete this important roadway reconstruction with a total federal
request of $10 million. The US DOT plans to award grant funding in August/September 2022.

ACTC – OBAG Grant for WLP – The City of Pleasanton submitted an application for the West
Las Positas Multimodal Reconstruction Project to Alameda CTC for the OBAGgrant in June
2022. The OBAG grant application requested $10 million for the construction phase. The grant
funding is expected to be awarded in early 2023.

ACTION
No action required – informational items only.

Submitted by:

Matthew Nelson
Associate Traffic Engineer
