<br />Bicycle, Pedestrian & Trails Committee Minutes April 25, 2022 <br />Page 4 of 5 <br /> <br />Associate Traffic Engineer Nelson presented the item and suggested 6:30 p.m. start time. <br /> <br />MOTION <br />Chair Fields moved and Member Nibert seconded a motion to accept the 6:30 p.m. <br />start time. <br /> <br /> Member Piekarski explained that she had brought the matter forward. <br /> <br />The question was called and the motion carried 5-0, Members Nibert and Piekarski <br />abstaining. <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />6. Updates from the Parks and Recreation Commission <br /> <br />Chair Fields requested the members encourage friends and neighbors to review the <br />proposed Wayside Park configuration. Member Piekarski stated the Committee had <br />reviewed the plans <br /> <br />Chair Fields stated the Commissioner would be considering the Century House upgrades. <br /> <br />7. Updates from Project/Program/Agency Representatives <br /> <br />Member Nibert provided an update on the recent Planning Commission meeting. <br /> <br />8. Other brief reports on any meetings, conferences, and/or seminars attended <br />by the Committee members <br /> <br /> <br />COMMITTEE COMMENTS <br /> <br />Member Piekarski requested updates on the connector through BART; CAP 2.0 bike rack <br />incentive; bicycle / pedestrian counts; and signal timing and functions at West Las Positas <br />and Hopyard. <br /> <br />Member Henry requested a future item on potential pedestrian crosswalk grant for a sting <br />operation. <br /> <br />STAFF COMMENTS <br /> <br />Associate Traffic Engineer Nelson discussed the next meeting being potentially in person. <br />
