SECTION 2. PROHIBITION. It shall be unlawful for any <br />person to exhibit or conduct in the City of Pleasanton, for <br />fees, salary or other compensation, the business, art or <br />practice of Astrology, Augury, Cartomacy, Clairaudience, <br />Crystal-gazing, Divination, Fortune Telling, Life-reading, <br />Mediumship, Necromancy, Palmistry or Phrenology. <br /> <br /> SECTION 3. MISDEMEANOR. Any person violating any of <br />the provisions of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a <br />misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be punishable <br />by a fine of not more than $500.00 or imprisonment not ex- <br />ceeding six (6) months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. <br /> <br /> SECTION 4. REPEAL. All ordinances and parts of ordin- <br />ances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. <br /> <br /> SECTION 5. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall be <br />published in "THE TIMES", a newspaper published within the <br />City, and shall become effective thirty days after date of <br />adoption. <br /> <br /> INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the City Council of <br />the City of Pleasanton on February 14, 1966. <br /> <br /> ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the <br />City of Pleasanton on March 7, 1966, by the following vote: <br /> <br /> AYES: Councilmen Gerton, Harding, McWilliams and Long <br /> NOES: None <br /> <br /> ABSENT: Councilman Bubics <br /> <br />DATED: March 7, 1966. <br /> <br /> JB.
