A majority of the City Council to request staff to provide information, perform <br />studies, or undertake other administrative functions or to develop information for <br />Council action at a future meeting. If the requested action is routine in nature, the City <br />Manager will direct staff to proceed However, if the request cannot be accomplished <br />within the approved budget or City Council priorities, or if it will involve substantial staff <br />resources, the City Manager will report to the City Council. <br />3. A Councilmember may request that an item be placed on a future agenda, if a <br />majority of the City Council present agrees. <br />4. Each member of the City Council to provide brief reports as required by <br />reimbursement policy.[53232.3(d)], <br />5. The City Manager, City Attorney, and City staff to provide information of <br />community interest to the City Council and to seek direction from the City Council <br />concerning items to be included on future agendas. <br />Members of the public do not have the right to address the City Council during this portion <br />of the agenda. [54954.3(a) J. <br />9.7 Adjournment <br />This portion of the agenda is for the Mayor to adjourn the City Council meeting to its next <br />meeting. The meeting may be adjourned to a regular meeting, special meeting, special <br />meeting workshop, adjourned regular meeting, or adjourned special meeting. The Mayor <br />may adjourn the meeting in honor of a distinguished Pleasanton resident or other person <br />of community interest that has passed away. <br />Members of the public do not have the right to address the City Council during this portion <br />of the agenda. [54954.3(a)]. <br />Adjournment at any other point in the meeting requires a formal motion by the City <br />Council. <br />10. Order of Business — Special Meetings and Workshops <br />No matters except those specified in the notice and agenda for a special meeting or <br />special meeting workshop may be discussed at those meetings. <br />The usual order of business for special meetings and workshops shall be as follows: <br />10.1.
