Additional Services Authorization#I
RE: NEVADA STREET IMPROVEMENTS/additional scope and design changes
iseo May 13,2022
documents in the hope of reducing the likelihood of major layout
changes during the CD phase. During the Bernal intersection onsite
meeting on 10/06/2021, in which we walked the site with the base
linework in hand, comments were only provided for the central plaza
area at Wyoming Street, the proposed parallel parking stall at the fire
station parking lot, and street striping. These comments were
integrated into the base for the 35%submittal and we did not
anticipate any major base changes. See attachment of meeting
summary. The 35%submittal comments significantly impacted the
layout of the shed area, shade structure area, central plaza area
(including curb alignments) and fire station picnic area.
b. Addition of landscape area at the fire station that was outside the Limit of
Work Exhibit in the agreement and not included in the original scope.
Updates include demolition, irrigation, and planting plan and estimate.
i. As described in the fee allocation memo sent on 12/07/21, the
allocation of the $3,296 optional services fees was for the Bernal
intersection site walk and coordination effort with the design team
and City and related to the Bernal intersection only. See attached
memo.
c. Additional subconsultant coordination related to items a above and items D
below.
d. See attached civil proposal for 5.1.1.D.1 and 5.1.1.D.2 items.
PS&E Updates: Per the 65% comments and comment review meeting, provide the
following items in the PS&E.
.Stormwater
treatment alternative concept evaluation and development of an exhibit
(submitted on 3/29/22), as directed by the City. Purpose of the exhibit was to
confirm feasibility of stormwater treatment behind the back of trail instead of
utilizing the silva cell design that was scoped. Work included coordination
with civil engineer to confirm feasibility of locations of stormwater treatment
areas in exhibit.
b. Additional plaza changes based on Zone 7 comments.
FM'
piGk up Gest. research and develop estimated costs for recycled water pick
up.
e. Addition of gravel improvements behind driveway and in front of Arroyo Valle
access gate al Bernal Ave. This location was not included in the Limit of Work
Exhibit per the agreement.
21010A_ASA#l.doc
© copyrighted 2022 Callander Associates
Landscape Architecture,Inc.
