Appendix D <br /> Fire Department Management <br /> Section 5. Special Compensation <br /> Standby Pay <br /> Deputy Chiefs assigned to a standby schedule shall be compensated in the amount equal to <br /> two percent (2 %) of the Deputy Chief control point listed in Appendix A. Division Chief's <br /> assigned to a standby schedule shall be compensated in an amount equal to seven and one - <br /> half percent (7.5 %) of the Division Chief control point listed in Appendix A. Standby pay shall <br /> be paid biweekly. <br /> Acting Pay <br /> A management employee assigned to perform the duties of a higher position classification as <br /> determined by the Fire Chief or City Manager for at least thirty (30) days will receive at least <br /> five percent (5 %) acting pay retroactively for all days so served. In the event a non - manager <br /> serves as an acting manager, the non - manager will be temporarily appointed to the <br /> appropriate management classification and will be entitled to the pay associated with that <br /> management classification. In no event shall an acting manager's salary be set above the <br /> control point. For temporary management appointments lasting more than 30 days, the <br /> employee shall also be entitled to the associated management benefits and accruals, with the <br /> exception of administrative leave for which an employee must be in an acting management <br /> classification for a minimum of one year. Benefits and accruals associated with the <br /> employee's normal classification shall cease while the management benefits are in effect. <br /> Section 6. Leaves <br /> Floating holiday <br /> Fire managers assigned to a forty -hour work schedule shall receive three (3) floating holidays <br /> per year. <br /> Page 27 of 30 <br />
