A majority of the City Council may table an item (not subject to a legally or City- <br /> imposed deadline). (To "table" an item means to put the matter on hold; it is not <br /> scheduled to return on a specific date.) <br /> d. Any Councilmember may continue an item (not subject to a legally or City-imposed <br /> deadline)to the next City Council meeting or to another date agreeable to a majority of <br /> the City Council. A Councilmember using this procedure shall state the reason for such <br /> continuance. An agenda item may be continued only once using this procedure. <br /> The same item may not be continued another time by a different individual Councilmember. A <br /> City Council majority may continue the item an additional time (so long as not subject to legally <br /> or City-imposed deadline). <br /> 10.3 Special Meeting Item and Workshop Item <br /> Generally, the procedures for this portion of the agenda follow the procedures in Section 9: Call <br /> to Order, Pledge to Flag, and Roll Call, Section 9.5.1 Introduction, 9.5.2 Staff Presentation, 9.5.3 <br /> City Council Questions,and 9.5.6 Comments and Deliberations. The City Council may take a final <br /> action at a special meeting, but not at a workshop, as set forth in Section 7.4.2 Special Meetings <br /> and Section 7.4.3 Special Meeting Workshops. <br /> 11.4 Participating Parties Addressing the City Council <br /> Participating parties shall comply with the procedures set forth in Section 11 Public Participation <br /> when addressing the City Council, except that the participating parties shall each have up to a <br /> maximum of ten (10) minutes to make visual presentation and address the City Council and five <br /> (5)minutes for rebuttal. The Mayor may set and announce the time limit for each active participant <br /> to address the City Council based upon the same criteria set forth in Section 11.2 Speaker Time <br /> Limit. <br /> Page 3 of 7 <br />
