CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, ALAMEDA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 04-065 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF WAL-MART <br />STORES FOR DESIGN REVIEW APPROVAL, AS FILED UNDER <br />CASE PAP-68/PDR-338 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Wal-Mart has applied for design review approval to construct an <br />approximately 5,264-square-foot stockroom addition and an approximately <br />5,761-square-foot garden center expansion to the existing Wal-Mart store <br />located at 4501 Rosewood Drive in the Metro 580 shopping center; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD-I/C-O (Planned Unit Development - <br /> Industrial/Commercial-Office) District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meetings of May 26, 2004, and July 14, 2004, the Planning <br />Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and <br />recommendations of City staff concerning this application <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of July 14, 2004, the Planning Commission approved the <br /> application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, within the time specified by the Pleasanton Municipal Code, the decision of <br /> the Planning Commission was appealed to the City Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of September 7, 2004, the City Council received a report <br />from the Director of Planning and Community Development, together with <br />a copy of the staff reports to the Planning Commission, regarding this <br />matter; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council held a public hearing on September 7, 2004, at which time <br />the applicant and any other member of the public were offered an <br />opportunity to present evidence regarding this appeal; and <br /> <br /> <br />
