Collection Services <br /> Franchise Agreement with Pleasanton Garbage Service <br /> <br />City of Pleasanton Page 70 June 7, 2022 <br />5.18.3 Safety Training 2485 <br />Contractor shall provide suitable operational and safety training for all of its employees who utilize or 2486 <br />operate vehicles or equipment for Collection of Discarded Materials or who are otherwise directly 2487 <br />involved in such Collection. Contractor shall train its employees involved in Collection to identify, and not 2488 <br />to Collect, Hazardous Waste or Infectious Waste. Training records shall be available for review by the City 2489 <br />upon request. (See also Sections 5.11 and 5.14.7.) 2490 <br />5.18.4 No Gratuities 2491 <br />Contractor shall not permit its employees to accept, demand, or solicit, directly or indirectly, any 2492 <br />additional compensation or gratuity from members of the public for the Collection of Discarded Materials 2493 <br />under this Agreement. 2494 <br />5.18.5 Employee Conduct and Courtesy 2495 <br />Contractor shall use its best efforts to assure that all employees present a neat appearance and conduct 2496 <br />themselves in a courteous manner. Contractor shall regularly train its employees in Customer courtesy, 2497 <br />shall prohibit the use of loud or profane language or music, and shall instruct Collection employees to 2498 <br />perform the work as quietly as possible. If any employee is found not to be courteous or not to be 2499 <br />performing services in the manner required by this Agreement, Contractor shall take all appropriate 2500 <br />corrective measures. 2501 <br />5.18.6 Uniforms 2502 <br />All employees of the Contractor performing field service under this Agreement shall be dressed in clean 2503 <br />uniforms with employee’s name or numbered badge, which also shows Contractor’s name, thereon at all 2504 <br />times while engaged in the work; no portion of this uniform may be removed while working. 2505 <br />5.18.7 Provision of Field Supervision 2506 <br />Contractor shall designate at least one and one half (1.5) full time qualified employees as supervisor of 2507 <br />field operations. The field supervisor will devote at least one hundred percent (100%) of their time in the 2508 <br />field checking on Collection operations, including responding to Complaints. 2509 <br />5.18.8 Customer Service Representatives 2510 <br />At a minimum, Contractor shall employ one (1) full time Customer service manager and four (4) full-time 2511 <br />Customer service representatives dedicated exclusively to serving the City and its Customers. The 2512 <br />Customer service representatives shall be trained on specific City service requirements, a minimum of 2513 <br />once per quarter in accordance with Section 6.8.6. 2514 <br />5.19 Contingency Plan 2515 <br />Contractor shall submit to City on or before the Commencement Date, a written contingency plan 2516 <br />demonstrating Contractor's arrangements to provide vehicles and personnel and to maintain 2517
