17 <br /> THE CITY OF <br /> ILL <br /> ~{ - CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pLEASANTON <br /> June 21, 2022 <br /> Fire <br /> TITLE: AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN A FIVE-YEAR <br /> AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PLEASANTON AND THE <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT FOR DISPATCH SERVICES <br /> COMMENCING ON JULY 1, 2022 AND ENDING ON JUNE 30, 2027 <br /> SUMMARY <br /> After discussions with the City of Pleasanton (City), the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire <br /> Department (LPFD) and Alameda County Fire Department (ACFD), staff is <br /> recommending the City Council authorize the City Manager to sign a five-year <br /> agreement, with a term from July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2027, to provide Emergency Fire <br /> and Medical Dispatch Services utilizing the Alameda County Regional Emergency <br /> Communication Center (ACRECC). <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Staff recommends the City Council authorize the City Manager to sign a five-year <br /> agreement between the City of Pleasanton and the Alameda County Fire Department <br /> commencing on July 1, 2022 and ending on June 30, 2027 to provide dispatch service <br /> to LPFD. <br /> FISCAL IMPACT <br /> For FY 2022/23 the cost of this contract is $298,137, directly based on the total number <br /> of calls dispatched by ACRECC and total number of calls dispatch for the City of <br /> Pleasanton annually in the previous fiscal year. Using the same methodology, ACFD <br /> will provide to the City an estimated budget no later than April 1 of each next contract <br /> year; thus, the City's annual dispatch services cost may be higher or lower for the <br /> succeeding fiscal years covered by the agreement. <br />
